Mindfulness Photography

Mindfulness Photography is a mental health and wellbeing photography group in Tower Hamlets. The group was set up in November 2013 to prevent social isolation and help lower hospital admissions by getting people involved in a creative activity within the community.

We're a peer support group that runs every Friday from 11am-2pm and are typically offsite and enjoying various trips every week.

You do not need to own a camera of your own to join the group as equipment can be provided.

No experience of photography is neccessary. We are open to all levels of photographers and even to those who are quite happy taking photos on their phone and do not wish to learn how to use a camera.

The group is free to join and cost of trips are covered by funding so you do not need to worry about the expense of joining. We aim to provide the opportunity, particularly to those on low income and suffering from mental illness to get out each week, attend various trips, use a creative skill and keep physically active as well as socially to improve overall wellbeing.
