Woodland Place project at Hackney City Farm

This service has been quality assured by Tower Hamlets Public Health

We are delighted to have received £13,426 from Postcode Local trust, a grant-giving charity entirely funded by players of the People's Postcode Lottery.

Nestled in the Hackney City Farm's tiny Woodland, we are preparing to build a canopy and platform for workshops and events in nature called Woodland Place.

We are using re-purposed Tetra Paks as Tetra Tiles, and thanks to local cafes and volunteers we have collected/washed/cut/folded 960 ! 

Help needed to finish folding remaining 250 paks, acheiving our total of 1200 re-purposed Tetras

  • THURSDAY 6th September 1.30-4.30
  • SATURDAY 8th September 1 - 3.30

Volunteers also invited to express interest in joining Woodland Place community project for:

  • training and support to co-plan and deliver events for new Woodland Place  
  • training and experiences in interviewing local people on outdoor play
  • experience contributing to a architect- led community build using sustainable materials 
  • getting to know community and assisting with publicity and events promotion


Woodland Place is on Hackney City Farm, with activities including the October 27th Build Launch, and through to November and beyond.
