The House Mill and Millers House
The House Mill was built in 1776, with much of the internal machinery, including vast waterwheels and six pairs of millstones, still surviving. The River Lea Tidal Mill Trust has recently restored the Mill, whose stones finally ground to a halt during the Blitz. Guided tours allow you to experience this highly atmospheric building.
