Tower Hamlets Parents Advice Centre

Tower Hamlets Parent Partnership Service (Parents Advice Centre) provides the following services for parents of children with special educational needs and disabilities

  • Telephone Advice Line Monday – Friday 9.00 am – 5.00 pm
  • Drop-In service every Tuesday and Friday 9.30 am – 3.00 pm
  • Expert advice and guidance about Special Educational needs (SEN) and the assessment process
  • Help in writing down views about your child’s special educational needs
  • Support preparing for meetings such as Annual Reviews. Our staff can go along with you if necessary
  • Help resolving any difficulties that arise relating to the assessment or the support your child receives
  • Mediation and disagreement resolution on all SEN related issues
  • Advice and support with appeals if your child has SEN and is excluded from school
  • A range of information on SEN related issues and topics
  • Advice by email or letter
  • Access to variety of PAC led parent support/information groups i.e. Epilepsy, ADHD, Bengali etc.
  • Information leaflets for collection or post
  • One-to-one case workers are allocated if ongoing case work is needed
  • Advice sessions from an Educational Psychologist (appointments based)
