Tower Hamlets Parents Advice Centre
Tower Hamlets Parent Partnership Service (Parents Advice Centre) provides the following services for parents of children with special educational needs and disabilities
- Telephone Advice Line Monday – Friday 9.00 am – 5.00 pm
- Drop-In service every Tuesday and Friday 9.30 am – 3.00 pm
- Expert advice and guidance about Special Educational needs (SEN) and the assessment process
- Help in writing down views about your child’s special educational needs
- Support preparing for meetings such as Annual Reviews. Our staff can go along with you if necessary
- Help resolving any difficulties that arise relating to the assessment or the support your child receives
- Mediation and disagreement resolution on all SEN related issues
- Advice and support with appeals if your child has SEN and is excluded from school
- A range of information on SEN related issues and topics
- Advice by email or letter
- Access to variety of PAC led parent support/information groups i.e. Epilepsy, ADHD, Bengali etc.
- Information leaflets for collection or post
- One-to-one case workers are allocated if ongoing case work is needed
- Advice sessions from an Educational Psychologist (appointments based)
