The Support for Learning Service Sensory Impairment Team is a specialist team working with children and their families with a diagnosis of a visual or hearing impairment. The service provides home visits and support to the parents/carers of babies and very young children to help them to understand their child's needs and support their development effectively. Specialist teachers work with early years, primary and secondary aged pupils to meet the needs of children with sensory impairment in mainstream and special schools.
