Your GP can also offer advice on how talking therapies can help you and make a referral on your behalf.

Once referred to Tower Hamlets Talking Therapies, you will be offered an appointment for a telephone assessment to determine suitability for brief counselling with our service. You can talk through the options available to you in your phone assessment and then decide what is best for you. If counselling is deemed the most suitable treatment intervention, you will be allocated to a counsellor for 6 appointments. These appointments will run for 50 minutes on a weekly basis at the same time and day of the week for 6 consecutive weeks.
