Tower Hamlets Foodbank

All food is donated by the community - church congregations, schools, individuals, corporations and via supermarket collections.

Through a growing network of frontline care professionals such as Social Workers and School Home Liaison personnel, people in crisis are identified and referred to our foodbank centres where they receive a warm welcome and a listening ear in a non-judgmental environment.

As well as receiving an emergency donation of food (enough for a minimum of three days), the client is directed to further help and support. This now essential service is delivered on a weekly basis by a growing rich mix of volunteers - who all love helping people.
